「Computer simulation of nuclear magnetization for molecular imaging by MRI」

In this study, to evaluate the quantitative relation between the amount of ferromagnetic particle and signal loss area in MR images, MRI imaged a gelatin phantom in which a small iron particle was placed and a computer simulation tried to reproduce the experimental results. A 3D spin echo and a 3D gradient echo imaging were used. Although the shape of the signal loss area in 3D gradient echo imaging was not reproduced enough, the shape of the signal loss area in 3D spin echo imaging was almost reproduced.
