Recruit of Assistant Professor

The Division of Applied Physics in the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences is pleased to announce recruitment for an assistant professor as follows. Your application or recommendation of successful candidates will be anticipated.
1. Appointment status and number of position: One Assistant Professor
After the five-year appointment period of the tenure-track, the evaluation will be performed. If the criteria are met, the candidate will be hired as a tenured faculty member such as a professor, an associate professor, and an assistant professor.
2. Work contents: The applicant is expected to work in the research fields of instrumentation physics, electronic device physics, and nanotechnology using quantum beams such as positrons and ion beams in collaboration with Prof. Akira Uedono.
The applicant is expected to teach cultural and special subjects, such as Quantum Mechanics and a common subject, in English in the Graduate School of Pure and Applied Sciences and College of Engineering Sciences. S/he is also expected to have qualified skills in teaching in English and advising students in their research activities.

担当:北アフリカ研究センター
専門分野:光エレクトロニクス分野、特に光電変換、半導体材料に関する研究を推進し、太陽電池への応用、実用化をめざす。 また、北アフリカ地域（モロッコ、アルジェリア、チュ二ジア、エジプト）の大学、研究機関との研究交流を推進する。 これらの活動は北アフリカ研究センターの関連教員と連携して行う。

担当: 数理物質科学研究科 電子・物理工学専攻
専門分野: パワーエレクトロニクス分野において，半導体材料工学，デバイス設計・評価，プロセス，実装・回路等の研究をおこなうとともに，同分野の大学院教育を担当します。 それぞれの専門分野は，トヨタ自動車・デンソー パワーエレクトロニクス寄附講座准教授は主に「パワーエレクトロニクス回路」領域， 富士電機 パワーエレクトロニクス寄附講座准教授は主に「パワー半導体とその応用技術」領域です。 各講座の教授と連携して教育，研究をおこないます。
